From playing at Andover RFC as a child to recently being selected for the GB Sevens squad in Singapore and Perth, Joanne Vasikiwaiwai’s journey is a testament to her hard work, dedication and passion for the sport.

This is a fantastic achievement for the 18 year old Augusta Park resident and former Winton pupil and we congratulate her in this huge milestone in her rugby career. Her regular involvement with the club remains an important part of the Andover RFC community, with Joanne returning for the end-of-season presentations on occasion to celebrate the hard work and progress of players across all age groups.

Andover’s Director of Rugby Andy Waite said ‘We are extremely proud of JoJo and what she has already achieved. She’s a real role model to all young women and girls in following their sporting dream and we hope she goes on to even better things.’  

We will all be supporting Joanne from behind the screen and look forward to proudly watching her represent Great Britain.
